Carolina Socías was born and raised in the Dominican Republic in the heart of a multicultural family. Her father Dominican and her mother Colombian, her diverse Caribbean heritage is a key source of inspiration for her work. In 2011, the designer graduated from Altos de Chavón School of Design, partnered with Parsons School of Designs. In 2017 she moved to Colombia and studied Fashion marketing in LCI Bogota, during which time she also worked on her pattern design skills and her passion for jewelry.
Inspired by her culture and its people, the CS Beachwear universe is full of diversity, colors & spirit. Through her collections, Carolina aims to create pieces that have emotions, and she gathers much of her inspiration from the treasure trove of Caribbean tales that she was raised listening to. The use of elements from the sea and hand embroidered pieces bring a conversation of the designer's Colombian background and experiences living in Colombia.
