David Pinto is a leading Jamaican ceramicist who is known for his line of functional pottery, and is beloved across the island. All of Pinto's pieces are intricately made by hand and so no two pieces are exactly alike. Pinto creates magic from his quaint, hillside studio located at the historic Good Hope Estate, nestled on the edge of the mysterious cockpit country in Falmouth. Pinto's more abstract, artistic pieces are featured at the National Gallery of Jamaica, as well as numerous private collections in Japan and the U.S. When not firing away at his Kiln, Pinto can often be spotted riding through misty mountainsides, or at one of Jamaica's many charming markets.
